Happy Easter 2010!

This is the first year Shawn really gets to be involved in coloring Easter eggs and he handled it like a pro!! He colored on the eggs with a crayon and dipped the eggs into the dye. He loved dipping his hands too, so we had to watch him closely!!

The eggs turned out pretty well and colorful...good job Shawn and Meadow!!

Shawn loves to hold his sister until she begins to cry, I think he is trying to tell me that she is not happy, and that he was "done" with holding a crying baby.

Easter morning we woke up and got ready for Easter mass. Meadow is all dressed up in her Easter dress (yes Mommy is completely thrilled to have a little girl to dress up in frilly and pretty dresses). But doesn't she look just adorable? Shawn is so handsome too!!

Yes we will get to head soon Shawn, to see what the Easter bunny left and to find all the eggs he has hidden!!

Once we got home, Shawn found his and Meadows Easter baskets. He loves the little pinwheels and knew immediately how to blow into them to make them spin! It was a little difficult diverting his attention back to searching for eggs. He even threw one of the eggs out of his way to play with his new toys, scattering the little gold fish that was inside.

With a little guidance, he soon understood the concept of collecting the eggs (or he knew we would not let him just play until he collected eggs...maybe he thought we were just trying to play a game of "pick-up"). He now knows these eggs hold some pretty cool things like hotwheel cars, stickers, and goldfish crackers.

I think Meadow even enjoyed her first Easter!

Shawn shared his stickers from the Easter eggs, one minute he places a bunny on her, I turn around and find the bunny gone and an egg on her dress.

We are glad Shawn is anxious to share and play with Meadow!! Next year will be even more fun with them!! Happy Easter everyone!! We love you and wish you all a wonderful and joyful day!!
