Happy Mother's Day!!!

This year, Shawn planned a whole special day for Mom on Mother's Day!
We all enjoyed a nice brunch on the patio at the "Biltmore". It was wonderful! We enjoyed loads of good food and delicious desserts! Shawn even enjoyed the variety of foods placed in front of him.
Mom loved the rose she received from the staff and had Shawn pose. Even though Shawn loves to pose for pictures, she thinks he went along with posing with the flower just for her.

Thanks for the sacrifice, Shawn :)

Only a few crumbs remain after indulging on the chocolate; white tablecloths, hmmm, Mom is glad we are at a restaurant and she doesn't have to clean this mess :)

Mom made Shawn pose yet again with the rose, doesn't she get it? Boys don't mix with flowers well!!!

After filling ourselves up, we took a stroll throught the courtyard of the "Biltmore". Shawn loved the water fountain and running through the grass.

After a long day eating and running around, We all enjoyed relaxing the rest of the evening. Shawn crashed the minute he sat in his carseat. What a wonderful day and great celebration!

We wish Mom, Grandma Davey, and Grandma Nanneman a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

We wish both Grandmas were here to be spoiled too! We love you both and want you to know you are very special. Your job is a blessing and we appreciate all you do!

Playdate at the fountains!

Shawn met a friend Emma at the Desert Ridge Fountains. They enjoyed riding around in Emma's wagon and playing in the water.

Emma even shared her water toys with Shawn.

Shawn is fearless when it comes to water. He jumped right in and ran right through many of the little fountains. Though the water was very cold, it felt refreshing on the hot day!!

So adorable, I think he enjoyed the playdate. :)

March 27th...Tom's Birthday!!!!

Mom and Dad enjoyed a nice dinner date to celbrate Dad's birthday. Shawn got to stay home and play with Stephanie, one of Shawn's favorite babysitters.

Don't worry Shawn, we will get to have cake when we get home!

A few days later Dad and Shawn get to try out his birthday gift, a bike trailer. Now Shawn can ride along with Dad on his biking adventures!!!

Shawn enjoyed the ride, but had a tough time adjusting to the helmet. Maybe in a few more rides, he will be able to enjoy the ride a little more :)

A family picnic in the park

The other day we all decided it was a beautiful day for a picnic. So we packed up a lunch and headed out for the park.
After a yummy lunch of sandwiches, berries, and cookies, Shawn played in the grass with Dolce and Dad. Dad helped him perfect the art of walking up and down hills.

Then it was off the look at the birds and ducks in the pond and then the the playground where Dad got to push Shawn in the swing.

We finally made it back home to relax after a wonderful day at the park...we'll have to do that again!!

A trip to Cheesecake Factory

Mom and Dad took Shawn to Cheesecake Factory one evening and even before tasting the cheesecake goodness, Shawn became quite the character! Mom went a little camera crazy (a suprise I know) but he hammed it up so well for each picture! We think he enjoyed every minute of it though.

"Oh look, here comes the cheesecake I have been patiently waiting for"!!!
"How come I got the strawberries and Dad gets the cheesecake...I want his"
"Maybe if I just sneak a little bite, he won't notice"
"Ok, no fair...I really want his now...better fork it over Dad, before I throw a fit"
"Finally"...And we have another Davey hooked on cheesecake.
