Shawn's Newest Trick!!

Dad has been blowing zuberts on Shawn's belly since the day he was born. Shawn has been practicing, so watch out Dad because I think he plans to get you back real soon!!!

Everyone in PV Mall heard him practicing yesterday too...just ask Mom!

Shawn's First Haircut.....finally :)

July 13th,

We finally caved in and trimmed up Shawn's hair! Even though it may have not been that much hair that was cut off, Mom could not believe how much of a change it was for her little boy! He still as handsome as ever and looking older every day!

Cousin Owen comes to visit!

July 11-July 13 Cousin Owen and Aunt Stephanie come to Phoenix to visit and celebrate a BIG family weekend together!

Shawn's Mom changed her work schedule and starting next week she will be working every weekend! Shawn is looking forward to having a guys' weekend with Dad every weekend. I know that his Dad is looking forward to it as well!

Shawn loves the friends he has made at Kindercare Daycare, and will miss each one of them! Shawn's parents are looking forward to spending more time with Shawn each week!

This is the last free weekend for the family to spend time together and we are all happy that Aunt Stephanie and Owen were here to celebrate!!

Shawn and Owen were definately more aware of each other this time and were talking "babbling" at each other as well as chewing on each other's arms (they are both teething at full force).

Shawn's Dad even had time with both babies (his chance to get Owen interested in Baseball).

At dinner one night we all went to a favorite Italian restaurant and they placed us at a table in front of a TV. Shawn found the TV and immediately his eyes were glued. It happened to be showing a re-run of an old football game. The only time Shawn looked around at us was during commercials!!!! It was pretty funny, even for Shawn's Mom!

First taste of cereal!

Shawn has been joining Mom and Dad at the table during dinner and has been watching them eat closely, smiling cute and drooling like crazy! He gave a look that told Mom and Dad that he was hoping to get a bite here and there. Finally June 30th Dad and Mom tried out the cereal with Shawn. It turns out, he's a natural at the eating thing and LOVED it!


It ended up a little messy, but I have never seen a little boy look so excited and PROUD!!!! He babbled on for a long while as well and laughing and smiling telling Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom, and Dolce (our dog) about his acheivement! We are so proud of him!

I think Dolce likes the idea of giving a messy baby food and found his place at the dinner table under Shawn's highchair!

4 Months Old!

Shawn is now 4 Months old! At his doctor's visit they measured him at 14lb 4oz and measured him to be 25 and 3/4 inches long! He is growing so fast!!!!!!!!!

Some of Shawn's favorite things to do right now are rolling over from front to back and back to front, in fact he rolls all over the place. He smiles everytime anyone gives him attention. Shawn cooes and babbles some, but loves to giggle when tickled or just to get Mom and Dad laughing. Shawn also loves to play a game where Dad or Mom pulls him up to sit and then he springs his legs straight out to stand. He is a strong boy and I have a feeling he will keep Mom and Dad on their toes! Dad says that Shawn loves to watch baseball on TV and that he once giggled when there was a funny play "as if he knew what was going on". Mom doesn't know what to think about that one!

Grandpa and Grandma Nanneman Visit!

Shawn was so excited to see his Grandma Nanneman again and to meet his Grandpa Nanneman. Shawn was so excited he greeted Grandpa by standing (with Mom's help) and holding the door open for Grandpa. I think Grandpa Nanneman was just as excited to meet Shawn as Shawn was with him.

Shawn loved being spoiled, snuggled, and hugged by his Grandparents. He loved having all the attention! I think he will have to readjust to being bored and not having all the constant attention once they leave. I think he loved having an audience :)

First round of sickness

Ever since Shawn has been in daycare, he has been dealing with one sickness after another. Three days after being on daycare, Shawn came home with Strep throat. The next week, he ended up in the hospital for rehydration and fighting a virus. He is much better now and is perking up. Shawn is such a trooper and seemed to smile through it all!! He enjoyed flirting with all the nurses and loved riding around the pediatric floor in a plastic "Radio Flyer" wagon, again flirting with all the staff.
Mom and Dad are happy to have him back at home and giggling and smiling.

First Father's Day!!!

This father's day was special for Shawn and his Dad. Shawn made a special picture frame for Dad with his hand prints and had one of his 3 month photos inserted inside. Dad really liked his gift. Shawn had fun relaxing with Dad and playing with Dad.

Even though Shawn has been rolling over for awhile now, we FINALLY caught it on camera!!
