Welcome Meadow Sofia Davey!!!

March 8, 2010:

Tom and I anxiously await the birth of our little daughter, we can't wait to meet her and show her the world!

Meadow Sofia Davey is born at 8:03am
she weighs 7 lb 14 oz (exactly what Shawn weighed at birth!!)
and she is 20 inches long
her cries were music to my ears as I lay on the table in the operating room.
What a joy!!!

Shawn meets Meadow and loves her immediately, but doesn't quite know what to do when she starts crying! All he could say was "done" and walk away.

We were lucky enough to have family here to help during through the week of her birth and my recovery. Nana and Papa Nanneman flew out from Wyoming to be with us and to help take care of Shawn. Shawn loved all the attention from them and soaked them up!!!

We are all so in love with our new addition. Shawn has already been showing his wonderful big brother skills in helping with Meadow and throwing away her dirty diapers!! Way to go Shawn!! He also loves to give her hugs and kisses! Little does he know at this point that she is coming home with us when we leave the hospital!! But he has been excited to come visit her and Mommy at the hospital.

Heading home, she is so tiny in the car seat!!!! So adorable though!!!!

Meeting Dolce, the family dog, he took to her easily and ready to love her up as well!!!

Overall, Meadow seems to be a mellow and happy baby, she is easy to snuggle and love!! Here she is with a stuffed bunny that Shawn picked out and made for her at "build-a-bear"! He was so proud to give it to Meadow.

During the week, Nana and Papa spent many hours painting the nursery for Meadow to enjoy. They did such a fabulous job!!!! Thank you Nana and Papa!!!!

Now that we are home, Shawn does pretty well with Meadow. He calls her "Memo" and he stille loves to hug and kiss her. He is an awesome big brother!!
